Walter Montoya's time in Spain lasted less than one year. Midfielder Walter Montoya has left Sevilla to sign with Mexican club Cruz Azul, both clubs announced on Saturday. The 24-year-old passed his medical and will join up with his new club for the Liga MX Clausura in January. The Argentine winger only moved to Europe in January, signing a four-and-a-half-year contract with Sevilla, but made only four appearances in La Liga last season.
